Accessibility

  • Accessible Seating: The Saenger Theatre is committed to accommodating guests with disabilities. Please contact our Box Office at (251) 208-5600 in advance for specific seating needs.
  • Accessible Parking: Available in all nearby public parking lots on a first-come, first-serve basis. Refer to our [Directions & Parking page] for locations.
  • Elevators/Escalators: Due to the historic nature of our building, there are no elevators or escalators. Please contact the Box Office to purchase accessible seating if you require accommodations on upper levels.
  • Wheelchair Assistance: We have a limited number of wheelchairs available for transport; inquire with a team member upon arrival or call (251) 208-5606 prior to your event to arrange.

Admittance

  • Doors Open: For most events, lobby doors open 60 minutes prior to showtime. The auditorium typically opens 30 minutes prior. Please check your specific event details as times may vary.
  • Late Seating: Late seating is at the discretion of the production and may not be possible for all performances. Ushers will seat latecomers at the earliest appropriate break.
  • Re-Entry Policy: Once your ticket is scanned, re-entry is not permitted. Please ensure you have everything you need before entering the venue.

During an event, guests can ask the closest Saenger Theatre team member for assistance.

Bag Policy

Only clear bags no larger than 12" x 12" x 8" are permitted. All bags are subject to search. Diaper bags (with child present) and medically necessary bags are exempt but subject to search. 

Cameras and Recording

Professional cameras with detachable lenses and video/audio recording devices are prohibited. Cell phone photography may be restricted for certain performances. Please respect the artists and fellow patrons by refraining from flash photography and excessive recording. Unauthorized recording may violate federal copyright laws.

Cashless Concessions

  • Cashless Venue: The Saenger Theatre is a cashless venue. All purchases for tickets, concessions, and merchandise must be made using a credit card, debit card, or mobile payment options.
  • Food & Drinks: Concession stands are open for select events, offering a variety of snacks and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for purchase. A valid ID is required for alcoholic beverages.

First-Aid

The Saenger Theatre is equipped with standard First Aid supplies. Certified First Aid personnel may be available during public events. In an emergency, please go to the nearest Saenger Theatre team member for assistance.

Lost and Found

If you lost an item during your visit, please contact our administrative office at (251) 208-5606 during business hours.

Parking

Parking is available in several public parking lots near the theatre. The closest lot is on Government Boulevard directly across the street. Please visit our Directions & Parking page for more detailed information.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located in the Arcade (main lobby) and on the mezzanine and balcony levels. All restrooms are equipped with baby changing stations.

Smoking and Vaping

The Saenger Theatre is a smoke-free facility. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited anywhere inside the theatre.

  • Knives, including small pocket knives
  • Firearms (permitted or not) or weapons of any kind
  • Video or audio recorders, I-pads, tablets or lap-computers

  • Selfie sticks/poles
  • Glass, plastic or metal containers
  • Coolers
  • Food, except for certain medical conditions
  • Illegal drugs or substances
  • Baby seats
  • Seat cushions
  • Folding chairs
  • Laser pointers
  • Fireworks
  • Noise makers or horns
  • Balloons and streamers
  • Signs, posters, banners or flags
  • Parcels, packages or any items the contents of which are not displayed
  • Gifts of any kind for the entertainer(s)

The Saenger Theatre reserves the right to restrict any other items that could pose a safety hazard or restrict the enjoyment of another guest.

Weather

All shows at the Saenger Theatre are “Rain or Shine” events.  Only in very extreme inclement weather are shows canceled or postponed.  If guests have questions about an event being canceled due to weather, refer to our social media channels: Facebook and Instagram

Subject to Search

For the safety and security of all our guests, all patrons entering the Saenger Theatre are subject to a reasonable search. This includes, but is not limited to, bag searches, walk-through metal detectors, and handheld wand detectors. In some cases, pat-downs may be requested by the event organizer.

Similar to procedures used at airports, these security checks will take place at the entrances prior to most shows. The Saenger Theatre also reserves the right to inspect personal belongings of a suspicious nature, including bags, purses, coats, and hats.

To ensure a smooth entry, we recommend that patrons plan to arrive earlier than normal to allow ample time for this enhanced security process. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide a safe environment for everyone.
