Mardi Gras Know Before You Go

 

The Mobile Convention Center remains committed to providing a secure and enjoyable environment for everyone during Mardi Gras celebrations. 

 

Bag Policy

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience during Mardi Gras Balls, the Mobile Convention Center has implemented the following clear bag policy, effective throughout the Mardi Gras season. Clear bags are available for purchase at coat check.

Bag Size and Type restrictions: 

  • Clear bag no larger than 12" x 12" x 6" 
  • Non-clear clutch or purse no larger than 6" x 8" 

Exceptions: 

  • Medically necessary bags are allowed and will be subject to search

 

Parking and Transportation

  • PARKING GARAGE: The Mobile Convention Center parking garage will be available for $20 (credit/debit only) until the lot is full for parades and balls.
  • ADA ACCESSIBLE PARKING: Limited ADA parking spaces will be available at a first-come, first-serve basis. Certified handicap tags will be required.
  • DROPPING OFF/PICKING UP: The front drive of Mobile Convention Center will be available for rideshare dropping off and picking up.

Coat Check

A coat check will be available to leave your coats, wraps/shaws, hats, and umbrellas. Clear bags are available for purchase at coat check.

 

Payment Methods

The Mobile Convention Center is a Cashless Venue. We only accept credit and debit cards. No cash transactions.

 

Building Entry

Entry points for balls will be through the parking garage elevators and designated doors at the front of the building.

 

Prohibited Items

The Mobile Convention Center does not permit the following items into the facility:

  • Knives, firearms, and weapons of any kind
  • Confetti Cannons
  • Glitter Bombs
  • Fireworks
  • Alcohol, drugs, and illegal substances

Additional Items may be prohibited at the discretion of Security.

 

Lost-and-Found

Entry points for balls will be through the parking garage elevators and designated doors at the front of the building.
