SECURITY/BAG CHECK POLICY

In order to create a safe, enjoyable experience for all our guests, the Mobile Civic Center has implemented the following security policies:

All Guests are Subject to Search

Anyone entering the Mobile Civic Center is subject to a reasonable search including but not limited to bag search, wands and pat-downs. The Mobile Civic Center also reserves the right to inspect personal belongings of a suspicious nature. This includes, but is not limited to bags, purses, coats and hats. Any bags larger than                   13 5/8” by 15 ¼” are not permitted.

In the event that prohibited items are revealed during a search, the guest will be permitted to return to their vehicle with the item or the item will be confiscated or disposed of properly. The Mobile Civic Center will not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited in the Mobile Civic Center:

  • Bags larger than 13 5/8” by 15 ¼”
  • Backpacks
  • Knives
  • Firearms (permitted or not) or weapons of any kind
  • Video or audio recorders, I-pads, tablets or lap-computers
  • Professional quality camera equipment
  • Selfie sticks/poles
  • Glass, plastic or metal containers
  • Coolers
  • Food, except for certain medical conditions
  • Illegal drugs or substances
  • Strollers or baby seats
  • Folding chairs
  • Laser pointers
  • Fireworks
  • Noise makers or horns
  • Balloons and streamers
  • Signs, posters, banners or flags
  • Parcels, packages or any items the contents of which are not displayed
  • Gifts of any kind for the entertainer(s)

The Mobile Civic Center reserves the right to restrict any other items that could pose a safety hazard or restrict the enjoyment of another guest.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What steps can I take to get into the event quickly? 

Arrive early and be prepared!  Have your ticket out and ready to be scanned.  If you have printed your own ticket, make sure it has a clearly legible printed bar code.  If you have an electronic ticket on your smartphone, make sure the ticket is pulled up and the bar code is clearly visible.  Removable items should be out of your pockets and ready to be placed on the search table.  Have your bags open and ready to be searched when you reach the search table.  Avoid bringing large bags and prohibited items.  Follow instructions from security and staff.

Does the Mobile Civic Center have on-site parking? 

The Mobile Civic Center has parking on-site.  Parking is $5.  The main entrance gate is on Clairborne Street.  The drop off location is on Civic Center Drive.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the Mobile Civic Center.  Please see the staff for designated smoking areas outside of the building.

What is the ticketing policy? 

All guests entering the facility must have a valid ticket to gain admission.  Mobile Civic Center personnel may request to see your ticket at any time during the event.

If you are interested in purchasing tickets to a Mobile Civic Center event, you can do so at the Box Office located at 401 Civic Center Drive, though Ticketmaster retail outlets, Ticketmaster hotline 800-745-3000 or online at www.mobilecivicctr.com or www.ticketmaster.com.

The Box Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. The box office is open to accept ticket purchases in person, not by phone. For information on upcoming events and ticket prices call the Box Office at 251-208-7381. 

Ticketmaster is the only authorized ticket-selling agent for the Mobile Civic Center. The Mobile Civic Center cannot be responsible for the authenticity of tickets obtained through any other sources.  We will not honor counterfeit, duplicate and other invalid tickets.

*Wheelchair seating locations are available upon request from the Mobile Civic Center Box Office. The Box Office policy is to sell one wheelchair ticket and one companion ticket together. Patrons with special needs are encouraged to contact the Box Office in advance at 251-208-7381.

Can I leave the venue and re-enter?

Re-Entry is prohibited.  Guests will not be permitted to leave an event and re-enter the same event.

Do you have a fund-raising program for non-profit organizations?

SMG’s food and beverage provider, SAVOR, offers fundraising opportunities to non-profit organizations at the Mobile Civic Center, Mobile Convention Center and Saenger Theatre by  allowing them to staff concession areas to raise money.  For more information, please contact Mark Tarver, Director of Food and Beverage, at 208-251-2118 for eligibility requirements.
